Celtic Bird Earrings

Continuing the theme of Celtic inspired, mismatched earrings, I felt that these two bird charms seemed to fit well together.  The silver is nicely balanced with the green and copper beads, giving the earrings a feeling of serenity with an edge.

In Celtic animal symbols, birds represented freedom and transcendence, having the ability to move between both the heavens and the earth.  The distinct symbolism of Celtic birds varies according to the characteristics of the type of bird.

These would nicely complement an upcoming St. Patrick's Day outfit (see also the Shield Knot Earrings).
